Make a video about hunger and you and a friend could find yourselves on a fast track to one of the world’s Hunger Hotspots to witness firsthand a WFP relief programme.
The United Nations World Food Programme (www.wfp.org) is asking videomakers to unleash their creativity and produce an edgy 30 or 60 second video that will make the on-line community buzz about global hunger.

Trip for two
We will choose the five most compelling videos and let them loose on the web. The video that gets the most views by World Hunger Day - October 16, 2008 - will win a trip for two to a WFP hunger relief project.
You can increase your chances of winning by sharing the link with friends, online communities, blogs, etc…

- Prize will be a guided visit to WFP project ..trust us-it will be someplace interesting!
- All entries must be received by midnight August 1, 2008 (GMT).
- Video(s) should be 30 or 60 seconds long … but who's counting?
- You can submit your video by sending a link, compressed .wmv or quicktime file less than 4MB to: hunger.bytes@wfp.org
- You can submit more than one video.
- We get to decide which videos we will show and the top five finalists.

- By submitting your video to WFP, you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age at the date that you submit your video and are fully able and competent to enter into the terms,
conditions and warranties set forth in these rules. In the event of a dispute about the identity of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the email account used to enter the competition at the actual
time of entry will be deemed as such. You may be required to show proof of identification and age and/or proof that you are the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry.
- By submitting your video to WFP, you grant WFP a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free,
transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, and display the video for the purposes of the competition and any related public service
activities whatsoever including adding the WFP logo to it.You will have no right of approval, no claim to any compensation and no claim arising out of the use, alteration or distortion of the video.
- WFP is entitled to remove from YouTube any abusive or inappropriate material and reserves the right to take appropriate action if illegal material is posted or illegal conduct is suspected.
- Your personal details will not be shared with any third party. Your personal information shall be used by WFP only to the extent necessary for the purposes of the competition and any related public service activities.
- Prize includes: 3 days visit to a to-be-determined WFP relief operation for the winner and a companion (18 years and older). WFP will provide transportation, public information staff and daily per diem for accomodation and meals.
- Prize details not specifically set forth in these rules are at WFP's sole discretion. All meals, taxes, incidental expenses and gratuities and any other expenses or costs not specified in these rules are the responsibility of the winner.
Exact travel dates are subject to airline and accommodation availability, holidays and other restrictions. Trip arrangements cannot be changed by the winner and are subject to change.
- Your video should be your own, original work. WFP reserves the right to disqualify from the competition any video which infringes the copyright or other intellectual property rights of third parties.
You shall be solely responsible for your own video and the consequences of posting or publishing it. In connection with the competition, you hereby warrant that: i) you own or have all the necessary licences, rights, consents and permissions to submit your video to WFP;
and ii) you waive any moral rights in your video; and iii) your video does not and shall not infringe the rights of any third party.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WFP from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from:
i) your violation of any of these competition rules; ii) your violation of any third party right including without limitation any copyright or privacy right. This indemnity will survive these competition rules.
