Bangladesh: Launching of the National School Feeding Programme
On 28 September 2011, the Government of Bangladesh launched the National School Feeding Programme. Based on the WFP model, this programme will be scaled up to reach 1.2 million primary school children in 2012. Together WFP and the Government are working to achieve universal primary education in order to provide the children of today with the opportunity to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
