Bangladesh: bringing education to working children
For poor children living in urban slums, school is often a luxury. In Bangladesh, more than three in ten children of primary school age do not go to school. To improve this situation, WFP provided micronutrient fortified biscuits as an incentive to get and keep children in schools and UNICEF worked to strengthen the quality of education: all in partnership with the Government of Bangladesh.
