Myanmar
WFP regional director, Tony Banbury, has warned that humanitarian assistance is not enough to meet the needs of the people of Myanmar. At least five million people in Myanmar are short of food but WFP can presently only provide assistance to about 500,000 of them. The WFP operation in Myanmar is currently only 30 percent funded.
