Saint Kizito rehabilitation centre The Saint Kizito centre was created in 1965 and is specialized in physical rehabilitation and training of disabled children. Most of its students used to be victims of polio. After a decade-long conflict in Burundi, the centre started to cater for an increasing number of conflict victims.

Living at Saint Kizito Of the 223 children attending school at Saint Kizito, 163 are physically disabled. Others are poor vulnerable children. Some are external but the majority live at the school.
