Emergency Food and Nutrition Assistance to Refugees Newly Arrived in Cameroon from Central African Republic

This operation has been modified as per Budget Revision 4 (see below).

The proposed budget revision will provide the framework to scale up Cameroon Emergency Operation 200689 (EMOP) in response to increased needs. The budget revision increases the beneficiary caseload from 100,000 to 174,168 following recent influxes of refugees from Central African Republic to eastern Cameroon. This revision also reflects the expansion of nutrition activities to old refugee caseloads and host populations.

The deteriorating situation in the Central African Republic has displaced over one million civilians and the humanitarian situation in the country remains dire. One in five residents of Central African Republic is displaced, either internally or in the neighbouring countries of Cameroon, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Republic of the Congo.
