A Dramatic Situation: Success For CAR Air Drop

As conflict sends many people into rural areas, a WFP air drop for this northern district of the CAR was necessary to get food assistance to those in areas unreachable by road. These operations plan to bring in 345 metric tons of foods to an area where the need is truly immense, and WFP is focusing its assistance on the most vulnerable. Much of this drop consisted of pulses, rices, and dates, which were collected from the Manou distribution site by local men and women.
