DR Congo - Tche camp for Internally Displaced People
Fighting between ethnic militia groups in eastern DRC's Ituri region has driven an estimated 100,000 people out of their homes. The insecurity is not only hampering WFP efforts to reach IDP camps but also stopping farmers from tilling their fields, prolonging their reliance on food aid. The 20 percent malnutrition rate in Tche IDP camp (portrayed in this VNR) is the regional average.
