WFP delivered food rations to the affected families in Babahoyo through the National Secretariat of Risk Management (SNGR), the government's institution in charge of strengthening the country's capacities to prevent and manage natural disasters.

Alison Flores (15 months) eats a fortified biscuit while her father, Rolando Flores holds her safely in his arms. These fortified biscuits are produced in Ecuador and WFP distributes them as part of its initial response to emergencies in other countries as well.
