Jeffrey Sachs, director of the Earth Institute at Colombia University, discusses the success of the MERET land management programme in Ethiopia, which is run by WFP and the Ethiopian government. Through simple water collection methods, it has transformed landscapes in the Tigray region, Sachs tells the WFP Executive Board on February 8.
