The Future We Want: Ethiopia
A programme in the Tigray region of Ethiopia is helping farmers rehabilitate land and manage their water resources so that they continue growing crops even during long stretches of dry weather. According to WFP spokesperson Challiss McDonough, the scheme is helping families move from "managing disasters to managing risks".
