World Food Programme Fighting Hunger Worldwide

August 2010: Dj Bobo kicks off a charity match in Engelberg, Switzerland. Despite drenching rain, he doesn't lose heart and keep on playing soccer.

In 2009, DJ BoBo traveled to Ethiopia for the second time to see first hand WFP's projects.

Nurburgring, Germany, July 2009: WFP ambassador DJ BoBo with Toyota Formula 1 driver Timo Glock, whose car bears the red cup symbol of WFP's Fill the Cup campaign. Glock donated his unique German Grand Prix helmet to an online charity auction set up on eBay to raise funds for WFP's projects.

DJ Bobo and German school kids during the FreeRice school competition, in August 2010.  The classes with the highest score won tickets for DJ BoBo concerts. Thanks to FreeRice, WFP feed more than seven million people suffering from hunger worldwide.

 DJ BoBo helps out WFP staff at a food distribution point in Ethiopia. “This trip is very useful for me to  understand the causes of hunger but also to learn how we can fight it ”  he says.

 As WFP Ambassador Against Hunger, DJ Bobo provides particular support to school feeding programmes. WFP provides school meals to more than 20 million children in school every year.
