A shipment of 3,500 metric tons of rice donated by Brazil with transportation and distribution costs financed by the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO) is stored near the Port of Banjul, The Gambia.

Once the rice is separated into 50kg bags and loaded onto trucks, the final stage is distribution. The European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO) is financing all transportation and distribution costs.
