Palestinian Business Fights Hunger With Salt

"Salt is our life," says Husam Hallak, the owner of a West Bank salt factory who's been working with WFP to supply its food assistance programmes in Palestine with locally-produced salt. Hallak says the partnership helped his business by pushing them to raise their quality standards and giving them the technical support in order to do it. "This is the kind of help that we need," says Hallak. "We don't want give-aways, we want to be able to earn it."
