Heaving flooding caused substantial damages in the West Bank and throughout the State of Palestine. WFP has been on the ground in affected communities since Thursday assessing the damage, identifying humanitarian needs, and stepping up relief efforts.

Many homes were completely flooded after days of torrential rains. WFP is supporting the Ministry of Social Affairs and local authorities to provide food assistance to households in need.

Flooding was so massive that even windows were broken by the pressure.

Heavy rains and flash floods caused massive destruction across the West Bank and the State of Palestine. Tulkarem, Qalqiliya and Jenin Governorates were worst hit, with as many as 650 homes destroyed, and millions of dollars in damages from lost homes, businesses, electricity, roads and agricultural lands.
