Guatemala: ECHO and WFP Visit Beneficiary Communities of the Dry Corridor 1
A group of 60 beneficiary women from the community "La Majada" of the department of Chiquimula received training on how to create assets and food. This activity is supported by WFP, ECHO and the Guatemalan Government in an effort to help families rebuild their food security in the Dry Corridor.

TheHuacal Majada community, in the department of Zacapa, is a very poor and isolated and its members were affected by the drought. Nowadays, WFP, ECHO, and the Government support them with food and technical assistance in the early stages of recovery.

Ingrid De Loof (ECHO) and Mahomed Vásquez (WFP) check the good quality of the organic fertilizer "Bocashi", wich was prepared by community members of Huacal Majada for use in their own crops.
