A Look Back at a Completed Project in Gonaives
These are people WFP has been working with in the past 3 years on a project designed to protect the Haitian city of Gonaives from flooding and mudslides. Hundreds of workers have built dry walls on the mountain above Gonaives and have planted trees to improve water retention. The project is now completed and when we met the community leaders, they had a special way to say they were happy with the work they have accomplished.
