World Food Programme Fighting Hunger Worldwide

On June 13th, 2010 an estimated 25,000 people in Honduras participated in the annual Walk the World event. In Tegucigalpa, the walk concluded at the national soccer stadium where participants enjoyed concerts, dance performances, and a friendly soccer match between national celebrities and politicians.

Following the walk, participants gathered at the national soccer stadium to enjoy a friendly soccer match featuring national celebrities and politicians who joined together to score a "goal against hunger."

The halftime show featured concerts by local artists as well as a folkloric dance performance by Grupo Zots, shown here.

More than 25,000 people joined together to say "Zero Hunger in Honduras" including representatives from businesses, the diplomatic community, NGOs, schools, and the public.
