WFP Chief Meets Syrian Refugees In Iraq
During her August 27-29 visit to Iraq, WFP Executive Director Ertharin Cousin met with refugees who've flooded across the border with Syria by the thousands in recent weeks. In addition to meeting the immediate needs of refugees from Syria, Cousin stressed the importance of supporting them in the long-term with innovative forms of assistance such as food vouchers.
