Syrians Streaming Into Iraq Find Hope And Food (1)
Some 40,000 Syrian refugees have fled into northern Iraq over the past week in the largest single outpouring of asylum-seekers since the conflict began more than two years ago. Around 15,000 of them have come to Kawrgosk camp near the city of Erbil, capital of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region. The tents in this image all went up in the space of a few days.

WFP reached over 3 million people inside Syria with food assistance and another 1.1 million refugees in Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt and Turkey. WFP needs to raise $30 million a week to meet the food needs of families like this, who have been affected by the conflict.
