These children are being treated for severe malnutrition at the Medicins Sans Frontier hospital at Kenya's Dadaab refugee camp. They're receiving special nutrition from UNICEF while WFP provides their mother with food rations.

These children are being treated for severe malnutrition at the Medicins Sans Frontier hospital at Kenya's Dadaab refugee camp. They're receiving special nutrition from UNICEF while WFP provides their mother with food rations.

Newly-arrived refugees outside the recently-established reception centre at Dagahaley.

Refugees arrive at Dagahaley after walking for days or weeks with little food or water.  They are exhausted and hungry - and many of the children are malnourished and in poor condition.

Once inside the reception centre, the families get wristbanded (recognised as refugees) and can then receive their two-week rations from WFP and non-food items from UNHCR.

Mariam, pictured with two-year old Hasan, is fighting for her son’s survival. They are among the thousands of Somali refugees who have arrived in Dolo Ado in Southern Ethiopia over the last week.
