On the 24 March 166 metric tons sugar for the production of nutritional assistance to children and women arrived in DPR Korea.
A Polish delegation participated in the monitoring of the arrival of food supplies in DPR Korea
On the 24 March 2012, WFP organized a visit to Nampo port for the Polish Embassy in Pyongyang. The Polish delegation were able to visit the Nampo Container Terminal and watch the unpacking and onward expediting of containers with 166 metric tons of sugar, procured thanks to a Polish donation of US$155,135. The sugar is a commodity used to produce Supercereals and fortified biscuits distributed to children and pregnant and nursing mothers.
The Polish delegation also oversaw the offloading of sugar arriving in Hungnam Port.
