Pakistan Flood Victims A Year Later: Nourishing Children With Wawa Mum
Three-year-old Shahid was in critical condition after the flooding in Pakistan destroyed his family's home and livelihood. Sahid was so malnourished he couldn't even walk, so his parents brought him to a nutrition clinic where he was signed up for rations of Wawa Mum, a highly nutritious food for children that is made from locally grown chickpeas. He is now doing well and continues to receive rations of Wawa Mum every 15 days to sustain his healthy growth and development.
