Nutritious WFP Food For Infants
Like Nasmina, Shakoora has been receiving nutritious WFP food for infants and young children called "Acha Mum" to help her recover from her malnourished state. Acha Mum is well liked by children as it made from locally-grown chickpeas which are a common part of the local diet.
On The Way To Being Well-Nourished
“Shakoora was very weak, but after eating this food she is much more active – her health is improving,” says Hazar Bibi. “I am following the guidelines I have been given on breast-feeding, hand-washing and latrine use, and the health of all my family is improved. We always try and keep our house clean.”
