Philippines: Families Rebuild Their Lives After Tropical Storm

Tropical Storm Washi left behind a trail of destruction after it ripped through the southern Philippines isle of Mindanao in December 2011. WFP helped families hit by the storm to rebuild their lives through a combination of food assistance programmes, such as cash vouchers that allowed them to buy their own food from local markets.
