December 22, Cagayan de Oro City - City Central School. WFP Ambassador Against Hunger, KC Concepcion and WFP Country DIrector, Stephen Anderson visited people affected by the recent Tropical Storm.
KC in Ubaldo Laya Memorial Central School serving Plumpy Doz to kids, a highly nutritious peanut-based food designed to meet the nutritional needs of malnourished children in emergencies.
KC and WFP Philippines Country Director, Stephen Anderson serving WFP fortified ready to eat food (Plumpi Doz) to kids. Along with Philippines Government relief efforts, WFP is providing urgently needed food, supplies and logistics support to boost the emergency response.
KC distributes WFP’s fortified ready-to-eat food (high energy biscuits). KC already travelled in Sept 2009 to Mindano and been extremely active since then in raising awareness about hunger and funds to provide tens of thousands of nutritious meals to school children in the conflict-affected parts of the region.
