After typhoons Ketsana and Parma struck in September 2009, WFP started emergency food distribution to support the disaster-struck population.

High Energy Biscuits were part of the Emergency Food Distribution. These wheat-based biscuits provide 450 kilocalories of energy and at least 10 grams of protein per 100 grams. They are fortified with vitamins and minerals.
