WFP Guinea-Bissau Country Director Pedro Figueiredo and Head of Sub-Office Eva Sena de Melo during the visit to one of the new sites of the Project Bas-Fonds in the eastern part of Guinea-Bissau.The Project Bas Fonds (PBF), or Lowlands Management Project, is a bilateral project between WFP and the Government of Japan that helps communities reclaim unused land in order to increase rice production in rural communities.
