Restoring Hope In Somalia One Year After Famine
WFP has reached over 1.5 million people with food assistance in Somalia since famine was declared in July 2011. This assistance has come in several forms, from nutrition programmes from mothers and young children to "food-for-work" schemes that provide families with a source of income while they work on community building projects.
