Scaling up operations inside Syria (For The Media)
In February, WFP is increasing the number of people it plans to reach from 1.5 million to 1.75 million people and is gradually building its capacity to reach 2.5 million vulnerable Syrians by April. WFP reaches opposition and government-controlled areas through food distributions such as the one we see in this video, filmed on 31 January in the Al-Shadadi area of the northeastern Al Hassakeh governorate. Al-Shadadi is currently controlled by the opposition.
