Faudhia Regains Her Hope For The Future

Faudhia, a little girl from Tanzania, fought to change her life when so many others would have given up. As an HIV-positive orphan, she struggled to find food and often missed school. But now that she has food and proper medicine, she's doing great in school and thinking about a career.

The breathtaking beauty of Tanzania makes it easy to forget that this East African country is categorised as a least developed and low-income food deficit country with more than 40 percent of the population living in chronic food-deficit regions, where irregular rainfall causes recurring food shortages.
