High Levels Of Malnutrition

In the North region of Burkina Faso, repeated poor harvests over the past years have had serious consequences on the nutritional state of young children. Acute malnutrition levels are above the "serious" 10% threshold. The current food crisis in the Sahel has exacerbated an already precarious situation. WFP has launched an emergency operation to reach 1.1 million people in Burkina Faso with food assistance and nutrition support.
