On 14 August, a local NGO AFDR held a ceremony for the launch of a reforestation campaign in the north region of Burkina Faso. The reforestation campaign is part of WFP’s cash for asset activities. Pictured above is Mamadou Diouf, WFP Deputy Country Director on the far right and on the right, Dr Amadou Sidibé, Director of Market Development of agricultural products at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security. The theme of the campaign is: "Reforestation to improve soil quality and boost agricultural production."
