The political crisis and escalation of violence in Libya since May 2014 has led tocivilian casualties, massive displacement as well as the destruction of public infrastructure and the disruption of basic social services and social protection systems.The humanitarian community estimates that over 331,000 people are displaced and at risk. Meanwhile, the living conditions of an unknown number of other people in host communities and insecure areas have also been affected by the violence andinsecurity.
