A DUAL NATURE

Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (VAM) plays a dual role in the design and management of WFP's emergency and development activities.

As an information tool, VAM provides up-to-date information about who the hungry poor are, why they are vulnerable, and where food aid should be targeted.

VAM works both at regional and country office level as well as out of WFP headquarters in Rome.
