CVA CONSOLIDATION & CONSULTATION

'Consultation and consolidation', between WFP and its partners, increases the value of a VAM analysis - both in terms of its insights and its ability to incite and inform response operations.

Consultation and consolidation exercises are recommended at several points during a Comprehensive Vulnerability Analysis. They are designed to systematically review, test, and refine the conclusions being drawn from VAM analyses of food security and vulnerability.
They also help to build a common consensus around the CVA's conclusions as it proceeds.

Consultation & consolidation can take the form of field visits, interviews, joint analyses, intra-office meetings, even formal workshops; and can include the participation of WFP Country Office staff, WFP partners and local food security experts.
