TNT - Moving the World

TNT is a global leader in the mail and express delivery business, serving more than 200 countries. TNT was WFP’s first corporate partner and has been committing its knowledge, skills and resources to fighting world hunger ever since. As one of the world’s biggest companies specialising in logistics, TNT has helped to improve the efficiency of WFP through critical logistical assistance, state-of-the art commodity-tracking and improved supply chain methodologies. Logistics is at the core of WFP’s operations and TNT helps to make sure that aid is delivered in the fastest and most efficient way possible.

Along with WFP, TNT co-founded the North Star Alliance, a non-profit organization that aims to reduce the impact of AIDS on the transport sector in Africa.

TNT has also played an important role in raising awareness and funds for WFP through consumer and stakeholder focused events as well as employee fundraising and engagement.

Geographical focus: TNT has supported more than 30 WFP Emergency Operations. TNT countries all around the world carry out fundraising activities for WFP School Feeding projects in Nicaragua, Cambodia, The Gambia, Tanzania and Malawi.

Partnership Impact: Made available skilled staff, warehouses, aircraft and vehicles for transport of emergency supplies. 

Co-founded the North Star Alliance, whose 22 current Roadside Wellness Centres promote the health and well-being of transport workers throughout East and Southern Africa.

Motivated its employees to carry out awareness and fundraising initiatives like Walk the World for WFP school meals programmes around the globe.
