Nutrition is a key consideration in all types of food assistance operations, from general food distributions to therapeutic feeding and school meals programmes. This gallery shows the main types of food we use in these different situations.

WFP gave a three-month supply of wheat flour and cooking oil to 260,000 people in Kyrgyzstan to tide them over the winter period. The next cycle will be in April/May, to help poor families get through the "lean season" before the fall harvest.
