The women of the village took pride in illustrating the various income generating activities undertaken in their village and explained what the various activities included: such as the cultivation of mushrooms, the collection of honey, silk production, the construction of marble tables with stone inlays and a flourmill to enable the local community to produce flour.
In the photo: After boiling the coccoons the next phase of silk production is to turn the extract into thread and rolling it into spools, this is done with a threading machine. The following phase is to dye the thread into the required colours.
