Ladagada and Pokhari Village in Nepal's far-western region suffer from widespread chronic hunger due to poor geographical accessibility, lack of basic infrastructure and  basic services. In 2012, Saemaul Zero Hunger Community Project was implemented in the two villages to improve the living standards of vulnerable population by strengthening their livelihoods and improving the efficiency of existing resources.
