Summary:

Some 40,000 Syrian refugees have fled into northern Iraq over the past week in the largest single outpouring of asylum-seekers since the conflict began more than two years ago. Around 15,000 of them have come to Kawrgosk camp near the city of Erbil, capital of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region. The tents in this image all went up in the space of a few days.
