WFP Nutrition Support to HIV/AIDS Patients:
Patients with HIV/AIDS or tuberculosis need food as well as medication. WFP delivers food relief through health facilities to patients (and their families) who are receiving medication, to help strengthen their coping mechanisms and steer them towards self-reliance.
In the photo WFP is undertaking a food distribution of maize donated by European Union to the population of a village in Malawi.
