Pizza Hut held its third edition of the Puch Marathon to support the activities of the project “Nourishing El Salvador” of the World Food Programme, which seeks to fight and prevent child malnutrition in the poorest and most vulnerable municipalities of the country.
SAN SALVADOR—On September 1, Pizza Hut organized the third Puch Marathon whose collected funds are intended for the project “Nutrimos El Salvador”(Nourishing El Salvador) managed by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) with the aim of preventing chronic malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies in 36 municipalities with the highest rates of malnutrition.
The Puch Marathon is part of the campaign “Muevete Conmigo” (Move with Me) promoted by Pizza Hut as the local partner of YUM! Brands. More than 4,000 children and their families joined in the marathon. This activity became a space to share, have fun, and educate about nutrition.
The WFP team participated in the marathon and showed participants the projects it implements in El Salvador to promote the country’s food and nutrition security.
