After 13 years of consecutive work, the World Food Programme (WFP) and the Ficohsa Foundation for the Early Education of Children signed a new cooperation agreement to continue working and support of pre-school children in Honduras.
TEGUCIGALPA –Currently more than 8,000 children attending 138 pre-schools in 19 cities of Honduras receive school meals thanks to the partnership between WFP and the Ficohsa Foundation.
The agreement was signed by Leonel Giannini, President of the Ficohsa Foundation for Early Education of Children and Miguel Barreto, WFP Representative in Honduras. The total investment made by the foundation exceeds more than USD 1 million (22 million Honduran Lempiras) and it has benefited more than 77,000 low-income children during these years.
