Students Helping Haiti - Update

It’s been a month since the 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Haiti, and we’re so thankful for all of the students who have donated to the victims there. “Students Helping Haiti” has raised more than $34,000 – as a part of this campaign, you are helping the Haitians that urgently need food.

Schools have done a number of different fundraisers, including bake sales, out-of-uniform days, and spare change collections. Keep up the creativity and remember that WFP is carrying out this emergency operation until the end of 2010 – we still have a lot of work to, and we need your support.

Thanks again to all of you who are dedicating time and money to helping Haiti. The struggle is far from over, but raising money and awareness is getting us closer to our goal of assisting 2 million Haitians. Help us do more, stay active, and spread the word.
