Youth Outreach Coordinator
HI – My name is Graham Bell. I have been an educator for the last 13 years, teaching at both primary and secondary levels in the UK and in international schools.
Ever wondered how you could teach your class while at the same time educating them about hunger and hunger-related issues?
WFP Resources for Students and Teachers have been designed to enable teachers to integrate issues like Global Hunger and the Millennium Development Goals into the mainstream academic curriculum. The lesson plans and activities you will find here are cross-curricular in scope, and can be used to attain existing curriculum goals.
The activities address the issue of hunger and its causes though a variety of subjects such as; mathematics, language arts, social studies, and science.
We're also providing links to educational sites we like, and sites that teachers will find useful. There are educational news feeds, stories of interest, and sites providing interactive games for students. Take a look around, and if you think we've missed something, or you would like to suggest an addition, let us know - it's your site too..
We'll be adding new materials daily, so check back often! And don’t forget to let us know what you think by leaving a comment!
Happy Teaching!
