World AIDS Day

Lusaka school built in 2002 for orphans whose parents are either dead or dying AIDS patients.
Since the start of the AIDS pandemic in the early 1980s, more than 25 million people have died from the disease, and 33 million more are estimated to be living with HIV/AIDS.
 
 

 

 

Each December 1 we take time to think about those who are living with HIV/AIDS, but what does that have to do with hunger? Is there a link?

Join Zambian-born Mutinta Hambayi, an HIV Programme Advisor at WFP headquarters in Rome, as she explores the link between this devastating epidemic and hunger.
