Teen uses art to imagine “Un Monde Sans Famine”

How would you use art to raise awareness about hunger? Earlier this year, the WFP office in Brussels, Belgium asked students to submit artwork highlighting their unique point of view on how together we can end hunger. They received over ten inspirational pieces that showcased how students are imagining a hunger-free future. Here’s the story behind one of those young artists. Meet Claire.

From Alabama to Honduras: One Auburn University student’s story from the Universities Fighting World Hunger Summit

This past weekend, university students gathered in Honduras for the first-ever Universities Fighting World Hunger Summit organized outside of North America. The Summit brings together students to learn about real-world hunger solutions from experts and leaders. Meet one Auburn University student from the United States who attended the Summit. She was already engaged in solving hunger, but here’s her account of how the Summit opened her eyes to new challenges – and new hope.

This New Year, we woke up to a world in which 1 in 7 people go to bed hungry. Our growing world population of over 7 billion people calls for new ways of thinking to make sure everyone has enough to eat. Why are we hopeful? WFP Students are the future of a hunger-free world.
