Focus On Zero Hunger: Yemen (Episode 9)

This episode of WFP’s “Focus On Zero Hunger” series features Yemen, a war-torn country that is facing critical levels of food insecurity. Due to intense fighting and airstrikes, the hardest-hit areas are extremely difficult to reach. As a result, the food security is deteriorating and 10 out of 22 Yemen’s governorates are now one step from famine.

“We are improving our reach and getting to more people every month but with half the country now just one step away from famine, we need the international community to comes behind us and support us, particularly over the next few months,” said Matthew Hollingworth, WFP Deputy Regional Director.
