Recent contributions from donors have improved WFP’s funding level and allowed the return to a full ration for some refugee households in the Dadaab and Kakuma refugee camps in northern Kenya.
Starting in November the World Food Programme has resumed distribution of the full food ration to the refugee households of one and two members. Families of three will receive an increased ration equivalent to 85 percent of the recommended food basket.
Since resources are still insufficient to resume full rations for everybody, large families will continue to receive a reduced ration equivalent to 70 percent of the recommended food basket.
